HISTORIC OPPORTUNITY?

I spent six hours yesterday in my monthly mastermind group meeting. Our group consists of about a dozen regular attendees, plus occasional guests, and always generates actionable ideas for me to take back to Keith and TaxCoach.

Yesterday we had a special discussion about the state of the economy. Specifically, we discussed author Harry Dent's latest bestseller, The Great Depression Ahead. Dent's premise is that demographic trends are driving the economy towards a major depression, with deflating sinkholes in stocks, real estate, and commodities, that may last a decade or more. He also predicts marginal tax rates will reach as high as 70%.

Dent outlines a step-by-step program for surviving the coming depression. Specifically, he advises shifting investments into cash, money markets, and highest-quality government, municipal, and corporate bonds. When asset values crash, he argues, those who stay "lean and mean" will enjoy once-in-a-lifetime buying opportunities.

Dent's premise isn't likely to put smiles on many faces. But you don't have to buy into it to know that the part of his prediction calling for higher taxes is right. And Keith and I firmly believe this is the single greatest tax-marketing opportunity of our time.

Here's one way to get rich in business. Find a stampeding herd, and stand in front of it!

What will happen when taxes go up? Especially if they go up to 50%, 60%, or 70%? Well, there will be a whole lot of clients desperate for ways to cut those outrageous tax bills!

Finding the stampeding herd won't be hard. Picture one of those 1930s black-and-white horror flicks, with the angry villagers carrying torches to the gloomy castle. Now imagine those "villagers" are affluent taxpayers, crazed for revenge against the accountants who didn't show them how to avoid the new taxes!

So how do you stand in front of them? We recommend that you focus your marketing on proactive tax planning. Your best clients are already nervous that taxes are going up. Think how they'll react if current rates double!

We'll bring you more on this topic as the fall tax-planning season heats up. But please don't miss this opportunity here. I remember working on Representative Jack Kemp's staff as he shepherded the 1986 Tax Reform Act through Congress to eventual passage. I cannot think of anything remotely resembling this opportunity since that historic occasion. If you miss it, it won't matter where tax rates are, because you won't have nearly the income you should have had to be taxed!

And we're doing it in perfect time for you to take advantage of the historic marketing opportunity we just discussed!

"Press Club" is a territory-exclusive, done-for-you program that focuses on finding and keeping clients. What's so special about it? Well, it includes:

  2. A Referral Generation system designed to "clone" those best clients

  3. An Online Marketing system designed to convert website visitors into live prospects and clients

  4. A Client Retention system designed to turn transactions into relationships and customers into clients

  5. Monthly masterminding calls with TaxCoach peers from across the country
